Why Are More Cockroaches Showing Up in Lincoln, Rocklin, and Roseville?

As temperatures increase throughout Lincoln, Rocklin, and Roseville, it's common to see an increase in cockroach activity around homes and commercial properties. One source that is often overlooked is the underground sewer system.
Cockroaches can travel through sewer lines and utility corridors before emerging through access points throughout a neighborhood. While pest control companies cannot legally treat inside public sewer systems, there are preventative measures that can help reduce the likelihood of cockroaches moving across a property and toward a home.
On a recent service visit in Lincoln, we identified a sewer access lid located within the landscape and applied Niban Granular Bait around the area. The goal is to provide an attractive food source for cockroaches that may emerge nearby before they have the opportunity to spread across the yard and closer to the structure.
This type of treatment is just one example of the attention to detail that goes into a thorough pest control program. During routine services, we inspect for conditions that may contribute to pest pressure, including moisture sources, vegetation, harborage areas, utility penetrations, and other conducive conditions.
If you've recently noticed cockroaches around your property in Lincoln, Rocklin, Roseville, or surrounding communities, warmer weather may be contributing to increased activity. Early intervention and routine pest control can help keep populations under control before they become a larger issue.
